AGO implements a diverse and complementary range of programs within and across our three programmatic areas. Each intervention is unique depending on the context, objectives, and level of funding, so our program efforts vary widely in terms of scope and reach. AGO prioritizes engaging the most underserved, typically employing an ecological approach to center primary beneficiaries while also engaging the influential stakeholders around them at the family, school, community and other levels. With a mission for gender equality, our programming both directly and indirectly intends to shift gender and social norms to ensure that girls and women can access their rights. Because our programming is dynamic, and continuously expanding, each year of operations engages increasing numbers of participants. In 2024, we have reached more than 14,500 children, adolescents, and youth as primary beneficiaries, and more than 32,000 secondary beneficiaries, including parents, caregivers, school personnel, teachers, and community leaders. While it is complicated to estimate an exact number, it is estimated that AGO has reached over 670,000 beneficiaries since launching our efforts in 2004.
