Women United for Economic Empowerment (WUEE) is a non-governmental, not for profit organization, with headquarter in Akwa Ibom State. WUEE became a reality through a program called ‘Planting the seed of Harvest’ to achieve self-sufficiency for women and to eliminate forced labour and violence against women and girls; with an initial grant to 139 women at Ediene Attai Community and122 widows in Minya Ntak. WUEE was established in March 20th 2002; with a mission to promote women/children’s rights, human development to the rural/urban poor women, youth, children and other vulnerable groups through empowerment programs, inclusive governance and economic development.
