Empowering Girl Programme “Educate a woman &you educate a nation.” This timeless African Proverb shines a light on the significance of female education & and empowerment. This is not JUST another program, it’s a transformative, impactful, valuable customized initiative, intending to build an all-inclusive, diverse talent pipeline for various industries. Inequality in South Africa is seen through unequal educational opportunities in many communities. With poor or lack of education, which is prevalent in structurally disadvantaged or forgotten communities, chances for employment are drastically limited. Therefore, the lower the educational level, the poorer the chances of employment. This program recognizes the variety of obstacles and daily life challenges faced by these individuals (gang violence, murder, drug addiction, the rise of GBV cases, and poverty) addressing not only their educational needs but investing in the entire overall well-being of the young girl including their mental well-being. As the principal founder and Director of Tranqual & Tenacious Minds, I understand the struggles and challenges of these young ladies. My commitment to self, 32 years ago was and still IS to empower/enable and upskill those less fortunate. Why is this so close to my heart? Someone saw my potential in me at the of 16 and took a chance to enroll me in a leadership program. My life lenses changed, and I started viewing the world differently. It gave me hope and allowed me to see beyond my circumstances. With a deep passion for empowering young females, I see myself in each one of the girls. My mission is simple, to provide individuals with the tools to live a life of authenticity, to strive and achieve their highest potential, and to make a positive impact on the world.
