The Happiness Foundation, previously known as the Victory Adullam Foundation, we are rebranding to Happiness in honor of our founding Trustee Mrs Happiness Shamba. The Victory Adullam Foundation has since 2019 been engaged in supporting learners from across Zimbabwe to access primary, secondary, and tertiary education within and outside of the country. To date, the Victory Adullam Foundation has supported over one hundred children with scholarships. The Happiness Foundation will still provide support to learners within and outside of Zimbabwe. We expanding beyond education scholarships into cancer research, mostly focused on breast cancer. In Zimbabwe, cancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality with over 5000 new diagnoses and over 1500 deaths per year. The Ministry of Health, Cancer Unit has recorded 577 cases of cancer between January 2023 and June 2023, 33 of which are cancers of the breast. It is our intention to support Africa-led research initiatives into the causes, diagnosis, and treatments of cancers. Our goal is to increase the number of African experts in the area of cancer research and a number of centers dedicated to researching on cancer.
