Zivai Community EmpowermentTrust-ZICET is a women lead organization and we do women and youth empowerment, we are also including men in issues to do with gender-based violence as they are mainly the perpetrators. We are doing GBV awareness through different initiatives like sports tournaments and also women empowerment through livelihoods. Last time we gave 50 women gardening seeds and they were able to do gardening, some are still selling vegetables for sustainability and some already ventured into poultry and almost 120 women benefited directly and indirectly. We have sewing machines for the organization and we are training women to sew reusable sanitary wear and some torn clothes for their children in our rural area. The challenge we have is limited resources to cover all our members and we cannot compete with big organizations.
