Now it becomes apparent how the project name Tumaini La Maisha is symbolic and gives the vulnerable women and girls in Kenya a light of hope. Education, health care, and economic progression are fundamental needs established by TLM to build a tangible contract toward a new future. The main concept of TLM is the girl child and the focus is made according to the girl child’s needs and development. By imparting good education, as well as offering vocational training and life skills training, TLM can give the youth opportunities to survive and be productive citizens in society. To address these challenges and vulnerabilities affecting adolescent girls, TLM makes menstrual products available and supports early childhood education regarding menstrual hygiene and self-empowerment. While individuality is an important tenet of TLM, the practice focuses on supporting communities as well. Community mobilization and leadership skills that the organization promotes dialogue and leadership of citizens ensure the formation of peaceful and inclusive societies. TLM By initiating good governance and conflict resolution programs it is fostering a conflict-free Kenya of stronger stock. Focus Lessons Specifically, it is manifested through the success stories of many women and girls who have benefited from TLM despite coming from various challenges in their lives.
