The Zimbabwe Women's Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) is a non-governmental organisation commited to promoting women's social and economic justice in Zimbabwe and globally, through the power of information, networking and strategic advocacy. We were established in 1990. We are motivated by the belief that all human beings must fully enjoy the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), and the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development, among other gender equality instruments. These human rights instruments affirm that 'women's rights are human rights' and recognise the inherent rights of every person whether male or female. In this respect, ZWRCN stands for Women's Human Rights.
