Fundraising Initiatives

Donations from your pocket would assist us in transforming the lives of young Swazi girls by giving them relief and assurance that their menstrual cycle will not limit them academically and socially. Based on a Water Sanitation and Hygiene study UNFPA did with Water Aid in Eswatini, they found that about 70% of women and young girls do not have access to proper menstrual hygiene management. This leads to them missing classes to avoid bullying and or discomfort from the lack of sanitary aid. What this also means is that they have a barrier to achieving their goals that men and boys in comparison, do not have. With your donation, we can ensure that over 100 girls spread across 8 of our Primary & High partner schools never miss another day of class. This sanitary pads donation initiative will be accompanied by the lobbying of lawmakers to exempt sanitary pads/tampons from tax to make them affordable for all young girls and women in the country. Demystifying menstruation in the social space is also a goal for us because the prevalent myths about menstruation are passed on socially.
